# Marker for Creators vs Slater

The clearest difference is rating: Slater at 5.0 against Marker for Creators's 3.8. Marker for Creators's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (24 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Marker for Creators sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Slater sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
