# Marker for Creators vs Earwig Marker

The clearest difference is rating: Marker for Creators at 3.8 against Earwig Marker's 3.0. Marker for Creators also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (24 vs 2). Earwig Marker's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Marker for Creators sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Earwig Marker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Marker for Creators holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Marker for Creators has 24 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Marker for Creators's written reviews are positive against 50% of Earwig Marker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Marker for Creators ships an update every 2 weeks, Earwig Marker every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
