# Temp Number vs SmsCode

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Temp Number at 100% against SmsCode's 20%. SmsCode's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 2.3) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temp Number sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and SmsCode sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmsCode holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmsCode has 44 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Temp Number's written reviews are positive against 20% of SmsCode's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Temp Number ships an update every 3 months, SmsCode weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
