# Facial Protocol Timer vs Recordo

Facial Protocol Timer and Recordo both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Facial Protocol Timer's written reviews are positive against 50% of Recordo's. Recordo's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Facial Protocol Timer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Recordo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Facial Protocol Timer against 5.0 for Recordo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Recordo has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Facial Protocol Timer's written reviews are positive against 50% of Recordo's.

Facial Protocol Timer ships an update every 5 weeks, Recordo every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
