# Crew Comms vs StochasticGrain

The clearest difference is update cadence: Crew Comms at every 2 months against StochasticGrain's every 7 months. StochasticGrain's advantage is iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crew Comms sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StochasticGrain sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crew Comms ships an update every 2 months, StochasticGrain every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
