# Cry Tracker vs The Cry App

The clearest difference is rating: Cry Tracker at 5.0 against The Cry App's 3.5. Cry Tracker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cry Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and The Cry App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cry Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cry Tracker has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cry Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, The Cry App every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
