# Text to Voice vs TTS Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: TTS Reader at every 3 days against Text to Voice's every 3 weeks. TTS Reader also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text to Voice sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TTS Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Text to Voice ships an update every 3 weeks, TTS Reader every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
