OPPC vs Mizaan

The official mobile app for the Orland Park Prayer Center. Stay up to day on the latest news, stories, and events in the community.

Mizaan weighs the good you do. Mizaan means "the scale". Every prayer, every letter of Qur'an you read and every ayah you listen to, every hadith, dua and lecture, and every dollar you give lands on your scale, so the good we think is nothing finally has weight: • Surah Al-Ikhlas, four short ayat: over 400 hasanat, ten for every letter (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2910). • Each prayer: ten (Sahih Muslim). • $5 to a vetted charity: 3,500 (Qur'an 2:261). That's the least Allah promised, and He multiplies for whom He wills. The true reward is with Him. THE QUR'AN, THREE WAYS • Translation: ayah by ayah with the meaning, plus tafsir and word-by-word. • Mushaf: the printed page you turn, like a book. • Learning Mode: one ayah at a time, word by word, full screen. Tap any word to hear it. • Recitations by Mishary Alafasy, Saad al-Ghamdi, Ahmed al-Ajmy, Abdur-Rahman as-Sudais, Abdul Basit and more, with background playback. Download surahs to listen offline. • Bookmarks, continue reading, and an ayah of the day. SCROLLS: DEENSCROLLING, NOT DOOMSCROLLING A whole feed of halal short videos (recitations, reminders, lectures and Islamic history), right in the middle of the app. Pull down for a fresh one, and tap the heart to save it. HOW THE SCALE COUNTS Ten for every letter of Qur'an you read, every ayah you listen to, each of the five daily prayers, and each hadith, du'a or dhikr; ten for every 5 minutes of a lecture; 700 for every dollar given through Give with Mizaan. My Mizaan shows each deed's source. A motivation, never a statement about anyone's standing with Allah, who alone accepts deeds.
