# Stepping vs Trot

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Trot at none against Stepping's 2. Trot also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Stepping's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepping sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Trot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stepping ships an update every 3 days, Trot every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
