# Steply vs IntervalTimer

The clearest difference is rating: Steply at 4.9 against IntervalTimer's 3.7. Steply also leads on ratings volume (130 vs 3) and review sentiment (95% vs 75%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steply sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and IntervalTimer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steply holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steply has 130 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of Steply's written reviews are positive against 75% of IntervalTimer's.

Steply ships an update weekly, IntervalTimer every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
