# Steply vs Outstep Step up Challenge

The clearest difference is rating: Steply at 4.9 against Outstep Step up Challenge's 4.6. Steply also leads on ratings volume (130 vs 9). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steply sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Outstep Step up Challenge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steply holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steply has 130 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Steply's written reviews are positive against 100% of Outstep Step up Challenge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Steply ships an update weekly, Outstep Step up Challenge every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
