# Steply vs Step Up Challenge

The clearest difference is rating: Steply at 4.9 against Step Up Challenge's 4.7. Steply also leads on ratings volume (133 vs 13). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steply sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Step Up Challenge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steply holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steply has 133 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Steply's written reviews are positive against 100% of Step Up Challenge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Steply ships an update weekly, Step Up Challenge every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
