# Steppa vs Upkeep Social

Steppa and Upkeep Social both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Upkeep Social's written reviews are positive against 54% of Steppa's. Upkeep Social also leads on ads (none vs shown). Steppa's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 8) and chart position (#149 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steppa sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Upkeep Social sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steppa holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steppa has 1.5K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Steppa's written reviews are positive against 100% of Upkeep Social's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Steppa ships an update every 10 days, Upkeep Social every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
