# Steppa vs Bean

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bean at 100% against Steppa's 54%. Bean also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (daily vs every 10 days). Steppa's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steppa sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bean sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bean holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Steppa has 1.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of Steppa's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bean's.

Steppa ships an update every 10 days, Bean daily. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
