# BoardGamePad vs Boardix

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Boardix at 16.0 against BoardGamePad's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BoardGamePad sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Boardix sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoardGamePad ships an update every 2 weeks, Boardix every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
