# DMV Test Pro vs DMV Ace

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DMV Test Pro at none against DMV Ace's 4. DMV Test Pro also leads on ratings volume (165 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). DMV Ace's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DMV Ace sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. DMV Test Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

DMV Ace holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DMV Test Pro has 165 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DMV Test Pro ships an update fortnightly, DMV Ace monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
