# FlareCare vs Vera

The clearest difference is update cadence: Vera at every 4 weeks against FlareCare's every 2 months. Vera also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlareCare sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Vera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FlareCare ships an update every 2 months, Vera every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
