Trying an anti-inflammatory diet? Scan any grocery item and see its inflammation score, 0 to 100 (higher is better). "Vegan", "organic", "high protein", "no added sugar": the front of the pack tells one story. The ingredient list tells another. BCH Scan reads the list and shows each product's inflammatory load, according to the BetterCallHealth method. SCAN, SEE, UNDERSTAND A barcode, a photo of the label or of your plate: in seconds, a score from 0 to 100 and a word. Low, moderate or high inflammatory load. 100 is the lowest load. Just below, the reason in one sentence: what adds load in this product, or what works in its favor. FIND BETTER, IN THE SAME AISLE Under each result, products from the same aisle with a lower load, and every aisle ranked from first to last: yogurts, breads, cereals, chocolate, prepared meals. You choose before you buy, not after. YOUR PANTRY, CHECKED Scan the ten products you buy most often: their average score, and a better pick for each one that weighs, biggest gain first. The score moves with every swap. YOUR DISHES, LIGHTER Lasagna, gratin, apple tart: the recipe as written, and what each swap would gain. With Premium, you make the swaps one by one and watch the score move. NOTHING IS HIDDEN Every score is linked to its sources: the biological pathways a product opens, the study that shows it, and the strength of the evidence. The method is published in the app: its rules, its main thresholds and its sources. And when too many ingredients are unknown, the app shows nothing rather than a wrong score. YOUR SITUATION, IF YOU WISH You can declare a health situation: the reading of products takes it into account, with sources. It always describes the product, never your state of health. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS Your account keeps your history, even if you change phones. Only the photos of a product you add are kept. Your blood test values, if you note them, never leave your phone. No ads, no sponsored products: no brand can pay to be ranked higher. SUBSCRIPTION BCH Scan is used with Premium, monthly or yearly: unlimited barcode scans, with the reason, the sources and the method; the best choices in the same aisle under every product; your pantry check and your progress since week one; up to ten photos a day; every aisle and full search; blood test tracking; recipe swaps; full history. 7-day free trial for a first subscription. Payment is taken from your App Store account at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. WHAT BCH SCAN IS NOT An information and lifestyle app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not replace your doctor's advice. Product records: Open Food Facts, open database under the ODbL license. Product photos: Open Food Facts and its contributors (CC BY-SA license), and the ones you add.
