# FretMaster vs Pulse

The clearest difference is update cadence: FretMaster at every 3 days against Pulse's weekly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FretMaster sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Pulse sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FretMaster ships an update every 3 days, Pulse weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
