# Lifeline Chess vs Check’d

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lifeline Chess at every 4 days against Check’d's every 2 weeks. Lifeline Chess also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lifeline Chess sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Check’d sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lifeline Chess ships an update every 4 days, Check’d every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
