# OmniTAK vs Handi

The clearest difference is rating: Handi at 5.0 against OmniTAK's 4.0. Handi also leads on device support (4 vs 2). OmniTAK's advantage is review sentiment (91% vs 50%) and ratings volume (6 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Handi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of OmniTAK's written reviews are positive against 50% of Handi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OmniTAK ships an update every 3 days, Handi every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
