# Melou vs XP

The clearest difference is update cadence: XP at daily against Melou's every 3 weeks. XP also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Melou sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and XP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Melou ships an update every 3 weeks, XP daily. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
