# Balans vs Nomos

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Nomos at none against Balans's 1. Balans's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Balans sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Nomos asks for nothing beyond the download.

Balans ships an update every 2 weeks, Nomos every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
