# Knitting vs NeedleNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: NeedleNote at every 2 days against Knitting's every 6 days. Knitting's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knitting sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and NeedleNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knitting ships an update every 6 days, NeedleNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
