# Knitting Assistant vs NeedleNote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Knitting Assistant at none against NeedleNote's 1. NeedleNote's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NeedleNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Knitting Assistant asks for nothing beyond the download.

Knitting Assistant ships an update every 2 months, NeedleNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
