# Readly vs Speed Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speed Reader at every 5 days against Readly's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Speed Reader sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readly ships an update every 2 months, Speed Reader every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
