# Speedometer vs VBB Commuter Widgets

The clearest difference is ads: VBB Commuter Widgets at none against Speedometer's shown. Speedometer's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and VBB Commuter Widgets sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedometer ships an update weekly, VBB Commuter Widgets every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
