# MiniMail vs iMail

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MiniMail at none against iMail's 3. MiniMail also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). iMail's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMail sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. MiniMail asks for nothing beyond the download.

MiniMail holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iMail has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MiniMail ships an update every 3 months, iMail every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
