# Work Hours Tracker vs Apex

The clearest difference is monetization model: Work Hours Tracker at free against Apex's free with in-app purchases. Work Hours Tracker also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.5). Apex's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Hours Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Apex sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Work Hours Tracker against 5.0 for Apex. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Work Hours Tracker has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Work Hours Tracker ships an update monthly, Apex weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
