# Trace Camera vs Trace Drawing & Projector

The clearest difference is rating: Trace Camera at 4.3 against Trace Drawing & Projector's 1.0. Trace Camera also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1). Trace Drawing & Projector's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Trace Drawing & Projector sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trace Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trace Camera has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Trace Camera ships an update every 4 months, Trace Drawing & Projector every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
