# TimeCapsules vs Melior

The clearest difference is price: TimeCapsules at Free against Melior's $2.99. TimeCapsules also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and ratings volume (6 vs 2). Melior's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On ads, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

TimeCapsules is free to download; Melior costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Melior holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of TimeCapsules's written reviews are positive against 67% of Melior's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TimeCapsules ships an update every 6 weeks, Melior every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
