# StickPulse vs Gecko Drums

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gecko Drums at every 10 days against StickPulse's every 3 weeks. Gecko Drums also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StickPulse sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Gecko Drums sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StickPulse ships an update every 3 weeks, Gecko Drums every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
