# Hedwi Translate vs Comet

The clearest difference is rating: Comet at 5.0 against Hedwi Translate's 4.0. Comet also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Hedwi Translate's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hedwi Translate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Comet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Comet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively.

Hedwi Translate ships an update every 2 months, Comet weekly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
