# Templar Formation vs TrybeUP

The clearest difference is monetization model: TrybeUP at freemium against Templar Formation's subscription. TrybeUP also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Templar Formation's advantage is ratings volume (152 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Templar Formation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and TrybeUP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TrybeUP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Templar Formation has 152 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Templar Formation ships an update weekly, TrybeUP every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
