# Magicorium vs Speed Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Speed Reader at every 5 days against Magicorium's fortnightly. Magicorium's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magicorium sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Speed Reader sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magicorium ships an update fortnightly, Speed Reader every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
