# SolvIQ vs MCAT Prep

The clearest difference is ads: MCAT Prep at none against SolvIQ's shown. SolvIQ's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SolvIQ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and MCAT Prep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SolvIQ ships an update every 6 weeks, MCAT Prep every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
