# Pretalk vs Elixir

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pretalk at weekly against Elixir's every 2 weeks. Elixir's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pretalk sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Elixir sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
