# WatchSpeed vs HomeMapper

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WatchSpeed at none against HomeMapper's 1. WatchSpeed also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.4). HomeMapper's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HomeMapper sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. WatchSpeed asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for WatchSpeed against 5.0 for HomeMapper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HomeMapper has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WatchSpeed ships an update every 7 months, HomeMapper weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
