# murmur vs SignPrep

The clearest difference is update cadence: SignPrep at every 4 days against murmur's every 3 weeks. murmur's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. murmur sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and SignPrep sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

murmur ships an update every 3 weeks, SignPrep every 4 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
