Verdict
Proll and OnePrep both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Proll's written reviews are positive against 41% of OnePrep's. Proll also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). OnePrep's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (735 vs 14). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Proll sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and OnePrep sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $28.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Proll against 4.7 for OnePrep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OnePrep has 735 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Proll's written reviews are positive against 41% of OnePrep's.
Proll ships an update every 2 months, OnePrep every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
