# iKontroller vs SMS Forwarder

The clearest difference is rating: SMS Forwarder at 4.6 against iKontroller's 4.2. SMS Forwarder also leads on ratings volume (32 vs 5). iKontroller's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iKontroller sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and SMS Forwarder sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMS Forwarder holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SMS Forwarder has 32 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iKontroller's written reviews are positive against 80% of SMS Forwarder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iKontroller ships an update every 2 weeks, SMS Forwarder every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
