# Ear Drum vs Riddiments

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Riddiments at none against Ear Drum's 3. Ear Drum's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ear Drum sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Riddiments asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Ear Drum against 5.0 for Riddiments. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ear Drum has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
