# HolyChat vs Rooted

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rooted at weekly against HolyChat's every 3 weeks. Rooted also leads on ratings volume (19 vs 3). HolyChat's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HolyChat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Rooted sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for HolyChat against 5.0 for Rooted. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rooted has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HolyChat ships an update every 3 weeks, Rooted weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
