# Teleprompt Overlay vs Teleprompter

The clearest difference is rating: Teleprompter at 3.9 against Teleprompt Overlay's 1.0. Teleprompter also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Teleprompt Overlay sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Teleprompter sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Teleprompter holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Teleprompter has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Teleprompt Overlay ships an update fortnightly, Teleprompter every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
