# Ghost Detector Pro vs Ghost Camera

The clearest difference is monetization model: Ghost Camera at free with in-app purchases against Ghost Detector Pro's subscription. Ghost Camera also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Ghost Detector Pro's advantage is ratings volume (43 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Detector Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Ghost Camera sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost Camera holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost Detector Pro has 43 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ghost Detector Pro ships an update every 5 weeks, Ghost Camera every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
