# Ghost Detector Pro vs SpiritTrace

The clearest difference is monetization model: SpiritTrace at free with in-app purchases against Ghost Detector Pro's subscription. SpiritTrace also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost Detector Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and SpiritTrace sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost Detector Pro ships an update every 5 weeks, SpiritTrace weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
