# Simple FTP Manager vs MagicFTP

The clearest difference is update cadence: MagicFTP at every 2 weeks against Simple FTP Manager's every 2 months. Simple FTP Manager's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple FTP Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MagicFTP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple FTP Manager ships an update every 2 months, MagicFTP every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
