# ToMe vs nxnote

The clearest difference is monetization model: nxnote at free against ToMe's freemium. nxnote also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). ToMe's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 10 days) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ToMe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and nxnote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ToMe against 5.0 for nxnote. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 3 respectively.

ToMe ships an update every 5 days, nxnote every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
