# BrokenVPN vs VPN MAX Pro

The clearest difference is rating: BrokenVPN at 4.8 against VPN MAX Pro's 4.0. BrokenVPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). VPN MAX Pro's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrokenVPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and VPN MAX Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BrokenVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrokenVPN has 29 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of BrokenVPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of VPN MAX Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrokenVPN ships an update weekly, VPN MAX Pro every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
