# Serialist Tracker vs Shelv

The clearest difference is update cadence: Serialist Tracker at every 2 days against Shelv's monthly. Shelv's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Serialist Tracker sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Shelv sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Serialist Tracker ships an update every 2 days, Shelv monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
